Q: Why shouldn't I just shop price?
A: While price is important, remember the old saying you get what you pay for. Not all storage stores offer the same features and benefits. Some stores don't offer added safety features. Storage stores don't offer the same access hours. Will you be able to get in when you need to? Are the employees' friendly or do you feel like you're not welcome. Who will you get the best customer service from a happy, friendly employee or a grumpy, you interrupted my day person? Do you leave the office feeling like the employees care about you? Is the office and store clean and well taken care of? Chances are if they don't care about taking care of their own property they don't care about yours.

Q: If I walk-in to a storage store is it ok to ask to see a unit?
A: Absolutely. The manager or employee assisting you should always offer to show you a unit. They should be proud to show the facility to you. It is, after all, a reflection of the job they are doing.

Q: What if something happens to my items while in storage is the storage store responsible?
A: No. Under current laws a storage operator is not liable for any theft or damages to your property, no matter the cause. You are renting space and only space. You are not hiring them to protect your property. It is your responsibility to carry your own insurance.

Q: Can I store appliances in my storage unit?
A. Yes. A refrigerator or freezer should be thoroughly dry and stored with its door slightly ajar. Make sure that stoves and cooking equipment are cleaned before they are stored. You can even store some items inside your large appliances! Boxes can be stacked on top of stoves, refrigerators and freezers.

Q: I was told I can't store my barbecue grill in a storage unit, why not?
A: You can store a barbecue grill in a storage store but you must first take some precautions. First the barbecue grill must be cleaned; no charcoal can be in it or if a gas grill, the LP tank cannot be stored. The grill and grate need to be free of food and grease, as this will attract unwanted pests. Charcoal briquettes need to also be washed off, dry and placed in a sealed container or Ziploc bag.

Q: Can I store my vehicle in a storage unit?
A: Yes. There are some different aspects we have to follow in regards to the contract for vehicle storage. A vehicle must have a current license, registration and insurance. The license, registration and proof of insurance need to match the ID of the person storing the vehicle. A VIN verification form will be completed by the manager prior to storage and if the vehicle has a lien on it, the lien holder's information will have to be given.

Q: Is there anything I should not store in my unit?
A: Yes.
• Combustible Materials - Everything from aerosol cans to paint and paint thinners are definitely items to be left off your storage list! The last thing you want is to be responsible for a fire!
• Living Things - Even plants that may be hardy enough to live in a dry environment shouldn't be stored as they do invite pests along with them!
• Hazardous Materials - This may seem like common sense to many, but too often we don't carefully think about what is really hazardous. Items like fertilizer and many other common household chemicals are in fact very hazardous and shouldn't be stored.
• Aerosols - While this may seem fairly innocuous to most of us (after all hair spray, deodorant and many cleaners come in aerosol form) they should never be stored in any type of storage unit as the containers can rupture or burst and cause damage to your other property.
•Food – Perishable, Non-perishable or Pet Food.  Food attracts bugs and rodents.  It doesn’t just attract them to your unit, it attracts them to the neighboring units too.
